The Montessori Training Center of St. Louis was founded by Pearl Vanderwall in 1972. Incorporated as a non-profit educational organization, the Center is affiliated with the Association Montessori Internationale.
The Center's primary purpose is to promote Montessori education based on the scientific discoveries of child development as developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. The career outlook for Montessori teachers is excellent. Montessori schools, both public and private, need teachers. There are currently more positions available than can be filled.

AMI ASSISTANTS COURSE
This course is intended to provide an introduction to the philosophy and practice of the Montessori approach. Designed for Assistants in Montessori classrooms, this 60 contact hour course is valuable for administrators, parents, nannies, home schoolers, etc. Completers earn 6 CEUs and an AMI certificate.
